What is exciting is that our life-style now works even better in our living room. It makes a statement, yet has more comfortable feel. You are a true phenomenon with colors – far more than any interior designer with whom we have previously worked.

Every sub-contractor you suggested impressed us. They were in a class by themselves. What a talented group (painters, electricians, gardeners, and framers). They are true artists in their own right, and delightful people. We have no reservation in giving them access to our home when we were out, which made the process stressless. It all went so smoothly.

Tyson sent us wonderful pictures of the house. All we can say is that the colors that you picked out Joanie are simply amazing. Is there a problem having such an incredible look in a neighborhood of otherwise pretty dull looking houses? As owner of a Louisiana plantation home designed by A. Hays Town, I have found it difficult at best to update anything in my home without negatively affecting its historic nature. “I bought a 1970’s brick ranch home that desperately needed remodeling. The curb appeal was definitely lacking! My adult children thought I was crazy. But I knew this home had good bones and so with my courage and Joanie’s talent, I’ve turned this plain and dated home into an open floor plan that provides entertainment options both inside and outside. The front porch was a little 8 foot sinking cement slab. The original house had a dated hot tub off the kitchen and patio that was enclosed with sliding glass doors! The patio was a sinking mess of flagstone. Joanie hired wonderful contractors and started the remodel process from the outside in. She designed a circular front porch with a seat wall, a winding pathway to the door, recommended a radiant heat system for the driveway, utilizing brick pavers and now I never have to shovel snow again! The landscaping is beautiful with unique tree and shrubbery selections that compliment the country setting of the neighborhood. The backyard was transformed and the hot tub was hauled away with the rest of the mess and a 1200 circular Trex decking also with a seat wall has made entertaining a dream. Joanie didn’t stop on the outside. Inside, she opened up the compartmentalized 70’s style rooms and created a wonderful open living space. Her color palette along with creating a water feature in the entry way has made this home magical.”

The relocation experience to St. Andrew’s Village independent living for our residents that have worked with Joanie McGrath at Fallingwater have been nothing less than wonderful!  Joanie and her team handled the move from both sides – taking care of our new residents from start to finish. As one resident put it, “Joanie handled all the details of my move. We decided together which furnishings I would be taking to my new home, which items would go to my family, and what items would be donated. On the day of the move, I walked into my new home at St. Andrew’s and everything was in place, pictures were hung, the bed was made, the kitchen was setup and my clothes were placed in my closet exactly how they were in my original home. There wasn’t a box in sight. I turned the key and I was home.” Joanie’s exemplary professionalism has been a delight to work with.
